Table Saw Off-Switch
(Finished 05/30/23)

A few years ago I installed a new 5hp motor on my table saw, plus a new magnetic switch. The new magnetic switch operated very well, but unless you were looking directly at the switch it was sometimes hard to find the OFF button. This could be potentially disastrous in an emergency situation.

I was doing some research on tables saws for my son when I saw an on/off switch configuration that kept on showing up over and over again. It was a configuration that had a great idea for a safety off button. This looked like a good idea, so I figured out a way implement this new safety OFF switch.

Off Switch

The OFF switch modification worked so well that the first few times that I used it it didn't feel like I had actually turned off the saw. The is a great safety improvement!!!
